The New Emergency Water Filter – Clean Drinking Water, Always
- Filters up to 3,000 litres
- NSF and CE certified and tested
- 5-year storage shelf life

The authorities recommend being able to purify water in a crisis. Here's what makes this filter practical to bring on trips and to keep ready at home.
4-stage filtration. Water passes through PP cotton, activated carbon, PP cotton and finally a 0.01-micron UF hollow-fibre membrane. Sediment is stopped, taste and odour improve, and bacteria and parasites are kept out.
Removes 99.99% of bacteria and parasites. The things that actually make people sick from water in nature – from animals, birds and waste. Even clear mountain water can contain bacteria you can't see.
Up to 3,000 litres per filter. Enough for long trips, a whole fishing season, or years of preparedness.
Just 38 grams. You'll barely notice it in your rucksack or fishing vest, and it screws straight onto standard PET bottles.
NSF and CE certified, 5-year shelf life. Tested and safe, ready for the day you need it.
Handles bacteria and parasites, not viruses or chemicals. If in doubt about the water, boil it as well.
You shouldn't have to search for clean water when you need it most.

Clean drinking water anywhere, whenever you need it
A person can manage for weeks without food, but only a few days without water. Clean drinking water is the most important thing we have – on trips, at the cabin and at home.
On fishing trips, in the mountains or out hiking, you no longer need to carry litre after litre. With the filter you drink straight from the stream, the river or the lake. Fill the bottle, screw it on, and drink where you stand.
And should your tap water become unsafe – as has happened in the Nordics before – the filter makes it drinkable again. No power, no boiling. Exactly what civil-protection authorities recommend you be able to do.
The water filter uses 4-stage filtration with PP cotton, activated carbon, PP cotton and a 0.01-micron UF hollow-fibre membrane that stops what you don't want inside you.
It removes 99.99% of bacteria and parasites straight from the source – precisely what actually makes people sick from water in nature. Even clear mountain water can contain bacteria you can't see.
The filter weighs just 38 grams, purifies up to 3,000 litres and fits straight onto standard PET bottles. With a 5-year shelf life it's always ready – in the rucksack, the fishing vest or the emergency store.
The filter handles bacteria and parasites, but not viruses or chemicals. If in doubt about the water, boil it as well.

Frequently asked questions
Here are the questions our customers ask most.
Still wondering about something? Contact our customer support.
Do I need to rinse the filter before use?
Yes, we recommend flushing the filter through before first use. A few particles from the carbon filter can come loose at the start, and rinsing first ensures the water that comes out is completely clean.
A tip: don't squeeze the filter too hard when using it, as that can push out particles that would otherwise stay put. For best results, use it as a gravity filter – let the water run through by itself instead of forcing it.
How clean is the water after filtration?
The NordicSafe emergency water filter is tested to remove up to 99.9999% of harmful bacteria and micro-organisms. It provides safe drinking water from uncertain sources such as streams, lakes and other surface water.
How much water can the filter purify in total?
The filter has a purification capacity of up to 1,500 litres of water, depending on water quality and use. That covers both short emergencies and longer disruptions.
Is the water safe for children to drink too?
Yes. The filtered water is safe for both children and adults, and the filter is made of materials approved for contact with drinking water. In an emergency this is a safe choice for the whole family.
Is the emergency water filter hard to use?
No. The filter is designed to be simple and intuitive to use, with no need for power, chemicals or technical knowledge. It can be used the moment the need arises.
Does the filter work without power or batteries?
Yes. The NordicSafe emergency water filter works entirely without power, which makes it especially suitable during power cuts, in the car, at the cabin or anywhere electricity isn't available.
Is this meant as a permanent drinking-water solution?
No. This is an emergency product, developed for situations where the normal water supply fails. It's not meant to replace your regular water supply, but gives you safety and control when it really matters.
